Description

We are hiring a dental hygienist for a full-time position - four days per week - at our small family practice in Mendota Heights, Minnesota.

We have a fantastic patient base and are looking for a friendly, professional hygienist to join our team!

Our clinic hours are 8 am – 4:30 pm; we are open Monday through Thursday. We use Open Dental software and digital radiographs (Dexis).

**While we ideally would LOVE to hire for a full time role, we are open to negotiation on hours/days

Requirements

Expectations/Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel comfortable throughout their appointment
Conduct initial mouth screenings, check oral health history, and update medical history
Identify conditions like gingivitis/periodontitis including being up to date on current periodontal classification
Use cavitron and/or hand scale and polishing techniques
Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene
Take radiographs as prescribed by doctor
Take intra oral photos or assist doctor in taking photos
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Help monitor supplies for ordering

Requirements

Diploma in Dental Hygiene
Active licensure in Minnesota
